Max concurrent requests
Each plan limits how many conversions can run simultaneously via API.
If your pipeline sends bursts of requests in parallel, you need a plan whose concurrency limit matches your peak load — otherwise excess requests are rejected with a 429 concurrency_limit error.
The Scale plan — 50 concurrent requests — covers high-throughput batch workflows.
Overage usage
Starter, Basic and Pro plans apply a hard cap: once your monthly quota is exhausted, conversions are rejected until the next cycle.
The Scale plan uses a soft cap: you can keep converting beyond your quota at €0.005 per additional conversion.
Overage usage is tracked and invoiced separately.
Commercial license
Pro and Scale include a commercial license — you can use the generated PDFs in client work, paid products, and resale.
Starter and Basic are licensed for personal or internal use only.
FileToPDF-branded footer
PDFs generated on the Starter plan carry a small "Generated with FileToPDF.dev" footer.
Basic, Pro and Scale produce clean, unbranded output — no FileToPDF-branded footer.
Advanced rendering options
Fine-tune output with conversion parameters — page size & margins, scale, PDF/A & tagged PDF, password encryption, custom headers, cookies and render-wait conditions.
Pro and Scale unlock all parameters (also included on the free trial). On Starter & Basic, sending any parameter returns a 402 upgrade_required error.
